看过Project Runway节目的人都惊叹设计师们的天赋，当然模特穿上华丽的服装走在T台上更是让人眼花缭乱。服装设计师自然成为人们羡慕的职业，然而要想成为一名服装设计师不是一件容易的事，不仅需要有一定的天赋，而且更需要懂得学习方法并为之付出辛勤的努力，才能学有所成。

Bachelor Program: 认可的高中毕业，TOEFL，艺术作品(Portfolio)，修业四年。 转学Bachelor Program: 大学念一年以上或大学已毕业，TOEFL，艺术作品(Portfolio)，修业两年半至三年，视学分抵修程度而定。 Graduate Program: 认可的大学毕业，TOEFL当然是必备的，GRE通常知名度高的综合性大学会要求，艺术学院的比较少要求GRE，另外学校一定要求的是Portfolio，即是作品集，内容可包括素描、油画、动画、网页、室内设计作品或可展现艺术天赋和室内设计的创作，通常以幻灯片或CD寄送给学校，大约需16-20张幻灯片左右。大学有设计基础的修业两年至两年半，没有设计基础的修业两年半至三年。
